I see you all have shown an intrest in your favorite bands and or preformances. How about on you wish you would have never bought a ticket for.......
mine would have to be Coventry. The last live preformance of Phish. Trey didnt seem on that weekend and the rest of the band just had to sorta keep it going. Yes i do undrestand they went through a lot that weekend but dam i still thing i would have been better off seeing it on the big screen......

this one is easy for me. 50 cent's show in Charlotte in the summer of '03. It was the roc the mic tour, and jay-z had finished his part, so he wasn't there. Bonecrusher opened, and chingy, fabolous, and busta rhymes came out and did a great job. busta put on one of the best performances i have ever seen. when 50 came out tho, he was weak as hell. he kept leaving the stage and tellin the crowd to beg and scream for him to come back out....it was retarded, i left not even halfway thru his set.

Many many many Sublime concerts.

Brad Nowell was two years ahead of me at Wilson in Long Beach. Therefore, nearly every weekend was a house party with Sublime.

Although many were bad. There were quite a number of gems too. When they weren't fucked up on any of a number of drugs, or Brad actually made it to the show instead of the hospital for one of his many OD's, they were very talented musicians.

One night at the Golden Sails in LB, I talked to Brad before the show (many of my friends were part of the Sublime possie directly or indirectly [too white trash for my taste]). This was quite a few months after Robbin the Hood. I asked him if they still played parties, and he said "yeah, they played one 2 weeks earlier for $1000 and ride". Then he said they were willing to barter in exchange for H. When I talked with my friends afterward, we all laughed. How were we suppose to charge partygoers at the gate? "Yeah, it's $5, or if you have the equivelant of a little heroin, that'll work too."

They went on stage that night for about 4 songs, said they were too fucked up to play and shut everything down.

2 of their best shows (cause I love the music, don't think I'm bad mouthing them entirely):
One at a little club in Huntington Beach calle 3450 Warner (number may be different, isn't there anymore anyway). They were totally on, and taking request after request from the couple hundred people in the audience.

Second, at Irvine Lake for a festival they headlined with Skeletones and others. I met a girl that ended up to be my girlfriend for a 4 month summer sexathon until she moved to go to school.

One last weird connection. I went to school at SFSU. Housing was so bad that I had to stay in a hotel for two weeks. That hotel was a block and a half away from where Brad had his final lethal overdose two months earlier.

I worked one his shows when he played at my college. Definitely not what I expected. His band was LOUD, and I couldn't understand what he was saying. If I closed my eyes, they could have passed for Motley Crue.

I was unfortunate enough to see Crazy Town on Ozzfest 2001... I've never heard 50,000 people boo so loud... they left the stage after a couple songs.

Awesome, another Wisconsinite... haha. Actually, I saw them at Sommerset; I don't really like Alpine Valley. Thats great that they got boo'ed at Alpine Valley though too! My comment to Crazy Town ----> haha

I dont like alpine valley either..It blows. We travel to the floatrite park whenever we get the chance.

Do you know if they are having the 93x fest this year.. I have not seen anynews on it yet?

Honestly, I couldn't tell ya. I'm goin to school at UWSP now so I'm nice and far away from getting 93X. All's I know is that between Pearl Jam (possibly), Bruce Springsteen (possibly), and Tom Petty (definately... woot!) going on tour this summer ,I'm not going to be able to afford much else.

what a spoilt bunch of little shits. they were messy the singer kept on falling over and oh god it was just shocking. just proves that the only reason that they got signed was because craig (singer's) father works for sony!!
