Whoa!!! Major recoil!
Hmm, remember shooting air guns once, is that the reason why the dude was like all pressed up against my behind when he was teaching me how to aim and shoot? Oh, and my aim was sooo bad (pre-prescription lenses days) I didn't even hit the paper, I hit the cloth behind the paper. Fawkin shit!

Re: schutzenkonig at the test facility!
My guess is some kind of .50 bmg or .460 although I'm sure shutz will say i'm an idiot cause it's obviously <random obscure caliber>!!!11

Re: schutzenkonig at the test facility!
Well, it's certainly NOT a .50 BMG, but a .460 Whetherby would be believable though. I think the first time I saw that it was on collegehumor or ebaums and it said .460 if I remember right. I'd like to see him shoot the South African 20 though...heheh (20x110mm) :happycow:

Re: schutzenkonig at the test facility!
it's easy. .460=big .50>.460 and 20x110>ICBM.
any caliber called .somethign is width in inches and anything larger than one is in millimeters .223 and 5.56 are both the same round in inches and in millimeters.
(these don't always apply and someitmes there are other numbers but these are good general rules)

Re: schutzenkonig at the test facility!
Yeah, you got the most of what people need to know there. But, while .223 Rem is 5.56x45mm most of the time, the metric and conventional versions can vary a little in headspacing. Enough to make a difference? Not usually enough for most rifles.
For metric it's given as "projectile diameter" X "case length"
A couple of eccentricities though. .357 Magnum is NOT .357" in diameter, it's .38" in diameter. That is why you can shoot .38 Special in a .357 Mag. Also...9x18mm (9mm Marakov) is actually a little larger than 9mm in diameter.
So...for 20x110mm (which I just looked up, it isn't from South Africa, it's from Croatia, the South African one is 20x83.5mm) as it would have a wider case, it ends up having about 4x the energy of the 12.7x99mm (.50 BMG)
