Anything Unexpected ever happen?
Anything Unexpected ever happen at a concert that you have been to? Or any Memorable moments that keeps you talking about that concert to this day?
There is one huge moment for me.
It was the Tibetan Freedom Concert.. I want to say 1998 but i could be wrong.
Anyhow we got tix for the varitey of bands that are gonna be there..
Eddie Vedder, Beastie Boys, Otis Rush, the roots, tracy Champman.. Very diverse concert..
Towards the end of the night we are getting ready for the Beastie Boys(headliners) and we notice something on the stage setup just not looking right.. We see an upside down USA flag getting put up.. We wern't sure why that would be there..
Then the curtains get put up.. and the stage goes dark.. then the band starts to play.. We knew who it was immediatly along with the other 10thousdand people plus.. the curtains drop and there is Zach De La Roca, Tom Morelo and the rest of Rage against the Machine kicking "bomb Track"
We were estatic at that point.. They were not expected at all to be at this venue.. They were supposed to be playing the netherlands venue..
All i can say is that one of the coolest feelings ever.. and one of the coolest Bands ever.. I will never forget it!

Re: Anything Unexpected ever happen?
Well the beastie boys did play after Rage.. However they could not compare to Rage and we soon got bored with them.. Left about halfway into their set.
Rage is one of the best live preformances i have ever seen.

Re: Anything Unexpected ever happen?
I have heard that RATM is amazing live, but from experience i have to say my favorite live band is sevendust at everyone of their shows (ive seen them 3 times) the craziest moshpits get started. the second time was the best when attack dogs were let loose on one group who was getting a little out of hand.

I once saw a roadie fall from a spotlight perch at a KISS concert. He fell about 30 feet. Gene Simmons noticed all the commotion on his side of the stage and along with others he helped the guy to the back during a solo.

Re: Anything Unexpected ever happen?
I saw Joe Perry of aerosmith play a song with KISS in concert. Not sure if this was a big deal or not but I heard no one had ever played live with them before

Re: Anything Unexpected ever happen?
At a TOOL convert Maynard told everyone to imagine they were in the world's biggest porno. And he said imagine their song was the porno music. So grab the person next to you and start fucking. He said if you are too ugly to fuck, masterbate.
Needless to say, alot of people were getting-it-on!!

Re: Anything Unexpected ever happen?
When I went and saw Pearl Jam 2 summers ago, Eddie Vedder was so drunk that he screwed up some of the lyrics to 'Even Flow'... still the greatest show ever though.
I saw Godsmack (unfortunately) a few years back and the general admission area was on a steep hill. It was rainy and a bunch of people (mostly drunks) decided to get a mosh pit going... well, one guy ended up slipping down the hill and slamming face first into a steel barricade. One of the funniest things I've ever seen! That'll teach him to not have common sense, eh?
When I went to see Disturbed, I managed to lose my glasses in the pit. I got em back but they were all scratched to hell.

Re: Anything Unexpected ever happen?
When I saw Green Day back in Nov., there was a drunk Easter Bunny. New Found Glory (who I actually don't really like that much, but I was there for Green Day) was on before them, they were one of two opening bands (Sugarcult being the other). Anyway, between NFG and Green Day, a dude in a bunny suit staggered onstage with a beer bottle in his hand. He started drinking from it, then YMCA played, and he tried to do the dance for that, but it didn't work. Then he chugged the rest of the bottle, walked off the stage, and Green Day came out

Re: Anything Unexpected ever happen?
A mosh pit erupted at the last Umphrey's McGee show in Chicago...I think it was the first one they ever had...it was the first one I'd seen in my 60 shows...silly hippies.
