With the slightly higher price tag but awesome graphics, how many of you are going to pick this up? I know it can also play music (memory stick) and play movies on special discs, but how many studios are going to start putting their movies on it? They want it to be versatile... but I think it will just end up being a portable gamer.

Any thoughts?

im not going to get it.. I for one am not about graphics.. If the gameplay is fun then its a good game regardless on the graphics.. I might consider it once i hear of some good titles.

i already got one my uncle shipped one to me from japan its alright. i have some jap games for it and its pretty good the analog sucks though

Mainly as a gamer but i will get a couple of movies.

I will wait and see what the game list and the response on it is. I am not real big on handheld gaming since I am usually a home when I want to play and the game cartridge prices seem to always stay high. It would have to look pretty damn good before I will drop the money.

i dnt htink i will be picking one up i think that in a few years they will bring out a somthing else that does another thing and its jst a waste of money

I'm usually quick to run out and buy stuff, but I'm going to take a wait and see approach. I'm not sure that the battery life of the unit is good enough at the outset to warrent picking one up, also I think that Sony is unproven in the handheld market and the multimedia machines that are multifunction usually suck at all things rather than do one thing well.

I am going to let other people figure out the bugs before I pick one up. Maybe at Christmas time.

I'm gonna wait and see how the PSP does in the markets.. and the reviews and stuff. It's too pricey right now though.

Same here, i'll let my friends get them and probably for my B-Days or Christmas i'll go and get. I wonder how much they will be by then, hopefully not that expensive.

Yeah I think everyone is waiting to see , If you look on ebay they are going for about $250+ which is basically how much they are retail. This is unheard of because usually when a game system (Xbox, PS2) comes out they go for insane amounts on ebay the first few weeks.
