This is HUGE news here in packerland!

Re: Favre is back for 05!
This is good news. I'm not a Packer fan per se but Bret Favre is the man and I can't imagine the Pack without him. It's really hard to find a good hard working football player who is excellent at what he does and is a decent guy to boot. So here's to Favre and a great season next year.

I don't like the Packers, but I have nothing but respect for Favre. Nice to see hinm coming back. He puts up solid fantasy numbers, can't complain with that.

I hope he doesn't get hurt and has a better year this year over last.
And remember when no Packer fan could live without Majkowski (sp) The Majic Man?!

Re: Favre is back for 05!
I hate the Packers with a passion (being a Detroit fan, I kinda have to), but I think Favre is a great football player and a great guy. I just wish he HAD retired so the Packers would suck this year, and give us Lions fans half a chance

Re: Favre is back for 05!
um, even if Favre retired. and the offense sat out a game. the lions would still not come close to having half a chance..
*kidding*
I think Brett is awesome. glad he has his ring.

Re: Favre is back for 05!
Unfortunately, you're probably right tsmo.
And yeah, I'm glad Favre has his ring. He's gonna go down as one of the best, and the best should have something to remember it by.

Re: Favre is back for 05!
i saw this a couple days ago, and forgot to post. man that made me very happy, but releasing 1/2 the O line was not a good idea. releasing sharper and hawthorne was not a good idea either...our stuggling D didn't need that kinda blow..and with davenport and kampman having pending deals, losing them would be bad for both sides of the ball....im hoping that they can re-sign those guys and pick up a good player out of the draft this year.....maybe this year it won't be a DB like the past 3 years.

C,mon...the Majik man wasn't that bad. I remember when everyone thought Favre was nothing but a gunslinger and wouldn't amount to much. I think Favre's greatness makes bad light of Majkowski's career.
I bet Favre's is glad the Vikes are Mossless now!

I don't think losing Sharper to the Vikes is making him all too happy
