Tom Petty! So I downloaded a 2 CD set from eXeem last night, and I must say that it's awesome! I haven't heard a few of these songs in forever and I totally forgot just how good some of them are. Obviously "Mary Jane's Last Dance" is good, but there other great songs such as:
"Runnin' Down A Dream"
"Into the Great Wide Open"
"Learning to Fly"
"I Won't Back Down"
"Free Fallin'"
"Don't Come Around Here No More"
"You Got Lucky" *Brings back old MTV memories*
"Don't Do Me Like That"

I'm hoping this doesn't piss off anyone that was expecting their very own appreciation thread! But if so... tough titty! Tom Petty owns you!

I saw him in concert like 5 years ago. He was one of the best live shows I've heard. His performance, outside of singing, wasn't anything special, but he sounded great.

ClemsonDevil, you forgot 'American Girl'... that's gotta be one of his best. Also, The Last DJ (his most recent ,I think?) is an awesom album.
