Evenin yall -

I have posted here now and then and I know that there are some knowledgeable people here with computers.

I recently made a web site that I need some volunteers to test.

http://www.fremontcomputerguy.com

It's an online game of the computer security type, I'm sure you've seen other flavors of the same type of thing.

Interested? Give it a shot..........good or bad criticizm is always welcome, just no flaming damn it, this was my first real PHP experience

Re: Online game......need testers

wow, that seems really cool. I haven't had any "official" training for this stuff, but I'll give it a shot and test out my skills.

two questions though, 1) what is brute forcing a server? I don't wanna do that by accident
and
2) the first level, the registry key, to provide the entire path and can it be just a folder? for example, this is very rough b/c I'm on a mac right now, but here it goes
hklocalmachine/currentuser/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run

or do you have to add /keyname.something at the end?

capish?

Brute forcing a server is basically manually trying 1000's of answers untill you get something correct, or making a script that will do so for you.

On the registry key section, you are on the righg track. Very close actually - just remember it's case sensitive and your missing a few under scores ( _ ) in there too.......
