Well, I have two firsts. One accidental and one on purpose.

First time was totally accidental...I was barely 18 and worked in a men's clothing store. Actually, I was shared between two stores on opposite sides of the city. So sometimes I'd have a couple hours in between shifts and I'd slowly walk over to the other store, wandering in and out of the small shops on my way.

So this one store wasn't totally a sex shop...just the back half. And it was NOT advertised on the front as such either. I just thought it was a quirky little clothing/novelty store. Very dimly lit. Very quiet. The register was at the back of the store, and I could see the employee and the back of a customer. So I wandered around looking at stuff, and then I came to a display case and HOLY SHIT! What a shock!

I tried to play it cool, but I was just a kid and looked about 14 and just as innocent. The clincher was when the customer turned to look my way and he was wearing some leather S&M mask thing. I'm sure my face betrayed my emotions, despite my attempt to take it all in stride. I'd never watched any porn before, never seen anything that the shop was selling, didn't even know it existed.

I made a very quick, very controlled exit from the store and didn't stop at any others for a while.


The second time was totally on purpose and I don't remember much except I was a bit uncomfortable, bought a pink vibrator, and was totally horrified by the video selection of abnormalities such as guys with two penis' and people sucking off horses and the likes of that.

hmm... i went into one with a friend when i was like 14, we were at the arcade across the street and were curious, but i was too embarassed to actually look at anything. the next time i was probably 16, my boyfriend and i went in, and bought a vibrator, it was our one year annervarsary and we thought it would be fun. since then i do that type of shopping online, i dunno what it is, but i cant look people in the eye while purchasing those things....

let's see, I seem to remember a bunch of friends of mine wandered into one when we all in our early 20's. It was the middle of the night, and we were all afraid someone we knew would see us. everyone grabbed a few magazines, we paid and quickly left. one poor guy found out he bought gay porn!

Lets see i was 19 when I first went into the porn shop in my town, granted I live in a small town. I went into the porn shop just out of pure curiosity to see what all they had, while I was looking at the huge movie collection and trying to figure out why all these guys were going into the back room( peepshows) I turned around and ran into my american history teacher who was looking at the vibrators and had a basket full of stuff. I quickly went over bought a package of magazines and left. Come to find out later the package I bought was a bunch of magazine put together at the store of old women, hell some of them looked older than my grandmother, NASTY!!!
As far as my history teacher........God only knows!! So my first visit wasn't actually a good one but it is one I will always remember!

my friends and I were all around 16 at the time so we tried to play it cool and headed straight in like we had done it before. Turns out we accidently went to the gay porn section.

The first time I went to a porn shop, I went there with a chick from work who I was kinda flirting with. We decided we were going to go to the "arcade" where you go into a booth, put quarters in, and watch 30 seconds worth of footage. We thought we were going to go in there, make out, maybe have sex or whatever, but apparently they don't clean those things very often and there appeared to be a coating of man-goo on the walls. it didn't smell very good either, so we left and had pretty much lost our sexual appetites for the day.

Another time a group of people I was in college with went to Seattle for a conference. After one of the barhopping episodes, we were walking back to our hotel and passed a place that had peepshows. None of us had ever been to a peep show parlor so we decided to check it out. Most of us put in our 1 or 2 quarters, saw what we had to see, and went back to the lobby. However, our wheelchair-ridden friend, who only had one arm and one leg decided to spend a whole pocketful of change, and probably made a deposit. I don't suspect the guy had gotten laid (without paying a heavy fee, at least) since his accident. We kinda felt bad for the guy, but it WAS gross.

My first time was in the 80's in Seattle after several of us were out drinking. I think the place was called 'Sex World' or something like that. Definitely smelled. Had the quarter movies and then I made it to a bunch of booths that circled a stage. I entered the booth that had a sign that said 'reflective window'. As soon as I put the quarter in, the window went up and the ugliest woman on the face of the planet put her twat smack dab on the glass. I was like DAYUM! First time I went was to pick up my friend who worked at the Castle Superstore. I'm no prude, but honestly, sex shops just have this palpable feeling of "eew" about them that makes me want to cringe. I've never bought anything from them. It's usually me being dragged in by friends that actually want to browse. I nearly puked when I saw the cover of a "ground beef fetish" video...

Of course, the first hint I had of what was inside those things was when a gay coworker came back from his lunch break with a cherry cock-and-balls lollipop.
