Re: firefox help

don't use ms outlook, use the new firefox mail program, if orget what its called currently. but its far less prone to viruses and errors. and that zonealarm security suite might just be the problem by deleted your cookie that keeps ur password saved. just a thought, I'd test it out by closing downt he active program it has running.

Re: firefox help

Do you have extensions or skins installed?

Look in your profile folder for the hostperm.1
Win2k/XP
C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
Make sure you can see hidden files. To see hidden files:
  1. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options
  2. Click the View tab
  3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders
  4. Disable "Hide File Extensions for Known Files."
  5. Click OK.

Win 98/ME
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Find your profile if there is more than one, if not it'll be just default.

In that file if you find any lines that looks like
host cookie 2 hotmail.com (or msn.com or passport.com or microsoft.com)
Then either remove these lines, or just rename the file itself and start up Firefox again and see if the problem comes back.
If there is nothing really in there, atleast for cookie that might lead to hotmail, then leave it be.
