hello
I would just like to introduce myself, name's Kyle.
Some interest i have are
- all music (except country)
- Cars! (fast and good lookin)
- movies (drama's my favorite genre)
And Somthing dumb i did in the past 2 days...
I bought this badass Viper alarm from best buy (i got the employee price of course.. thanks nick) for 200.... i took it to black rhino car audio to get it installed.. The guy said it would 125 for install including remotes start, clutch bypass, and this other bypass. (since i was getting it installed in my 04 civic si)
The day prior to my dad gave me insturctions not to install it..
I get it done anyway thinking my dad wont find out.. Well of course he found out within 15 min of me being home and now hes making me take my car back to get it unstalled since its illlegal (on a standard car).
Now im out 125... and no remote start.. this blows
Spark notes:
Dad told me to not get remote start installed on my standard civic si, i get it installed, he finds out, and now im 125 in the hole.. Boo!
-Kyle

Re: hello
Allow me to extend a totally unambiguous, straightforward "Welcome To The Site" to you, ambiguous:
Welcome to the site.
Poke around for a bit, and I'm sure you'll find something worth your interest (also, stop trying to pull things over on the sly, behind your Dad's back! He'll find out! They always do!)

its illegal because unlike automatics, there is no park. The only way it will work is if you park in neutral and use your parking brake. The reason its illegal is because if your the dummy who leaves in parked in gear (1st), the car would start and jump forward.. and if the parking brake is engaged to.. it would just stall out after nudgin up some.
Anyways.. its very dangerous to have them on manual transmissions.. thats why. Some can handle the concept, but for those who cant seem to remember to shut off the turn signal while driving down the highway.. those are the people who would fuck it up and hurt someone.
