Combatability problem

My friend wants to play Tony Hawk Pro-skater 2 on his brand-new computer with Windows XP. It has an Asus ATI-video card, p4, and 512 MB ram so the hardware isn't the problem here. The problem is THP2 was built for windows 95/98 (notice how microshit has disavowed ME). Now I KNOW that a win95/98 game can be played with XP (service pack 2 by the way) b/c I can play Commandoes on my laptop and there is no problem. So Ive tried every setting in the compatability tab (windows 98, 95, 2000) no luck, every time a window pops up, 'could not script error 00000X0000.5' or something to that effect. Anybody have any ideas what I can do? or is it a lost cause

If so, try it there, if you get the same error, problem with the software, if not, then it's another problem, but it's a place to start.

I can assure you, this is not a virus, and it does no harm, all you have to do is unzip it into the same directory as THawk2.exe and run Patch.com. This will patch the file so it will run under Win2K or WinXP and won't give that annoying error, "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)"
