I you want the best card, depending on how much money your willing to spend, go with a 6800 ultra. Between 6600 gt and 9800 pro the 6600 gt is better depending what brand you get. Albatron and Chaintech are pretty good brands of video cards. I dunno about where the best price would be. I'd try newegg.com and tigerdirect.com and maybe some local pc builders.

Isn't GT faster than Ultra? If you want one of the best cards on the market, do the 6800 GT.

I dunno what the difference between ultra and gt are, but yeah go with a 6800. I f you have the money and want to kinda blow and be the talk of your neighborhood get a SLI 6800, oh yeah.

If you have money that you can throw around get a x800 pci-x or a x850 if it came out yet. I think the ultra is better than the gt but i couldn't imagine a big performance difference because they're priced about the same. what kink of system are you putting it in and what do you plan to do on your computer?

6800 are good bang for the buck to i got a evga one softmodded to gt specs and from 87xx point at 3dmark 96xx points. for free :D

Yeah the x850 PE is about as good as you can get, but that is PCI-E. The best AGP card you could get is the 6800 ultra, and if you get good enough cooling you can OC it to bench around where the x850 goes.

I got the all-in-wonder 9600 for xmas and it is the shizznite...but my uses are mostly for video capture/editing & not for gaming so much...

Well.. I just built this machine and I installed a G-Force FX 5700LE. Works great for me. I use it for a couple games.. but nothing more than video and image editing really. It was around $150.
