When someone who is in a exclusive relationship engages in cybersex does that classify them as adultery? I want to hear what you guys think, I will post my thoughts later....

adultery has many interpreatations, from adultery of the heart to an extra maritial affair. cyber sex is simply dumb. probably half the girls are really guys, and everyone that says they are 18 is 12.

My take? It is harmless, and if it helps someone get off when they otherwise couldn't, go for it. It isn't cheatng, you are only cheating yourself.

I don't think that it is. I think that it is harmless and above all dumb. For all of those who say it is adultery, then do you also believe watching porn and getting off is adultery too? Either you watch porn and get off or talk dirty to someone OVER THE INTERNET and get off, either way who cares. Its not like you are actually going out and having sex with somebody. If cybersex is classified as adultery, watching porn and masterbating should be as well because you are imagining yourself having sex with somebody else.

Its true that your not ACTUALLY having sex with someone, but I narrow it down to this: If your wife/girlfriend was in the room, would you still be doing it? Would SHE consider it adultry? The same questions apply to the other issues such as watching porn. You just have to honestly ask yourself these quesions and decide for yourself, and your GF/spouce. By making these decisions, you are also acknowleging that you are willing to accept EVERY possible outcome, both good and bad.

If that is the problem than its not a (sexually) healthy relationship. Don't be commited with someone that is so called "fridged". That will drive you to adultry.

A healthly sexual relationship should not lead to outside sexual activities. I am a very happilly married man and see no need whatsoever to engaged in cybersex. It actually is a disgusting thought.

To all you people who think it is an innocent act, ask yourself this....would you want your spouse to engage in this activity without you knowing?? You would be hurt. You would feel cheated!! As the term goes "cheater".

Think about on the other foot and you will think different. Trust me.

If you're not telling your partner that you are doing it then chances are they are going to view it as cheating if they find out.

Either that or view it as a betrayal of trust, which sometimes is just as bad or worse than cheating.

Adultery no, infidelity yes. Any time you involve yourself with another person for personal pleasure in a sexual way, it is infidelity. Flirting to me is borderline...so I'm a bit on the jeallous side.
