Some semester break....."friends" here seem to be glad to see ya, but for a couple of them, their eyes tell a different story. They seem to have a problem with someone from the old herd trying to improve their lot in life by getting an education. What are they doing? Sponging off parents, working mini-wage dead-end jobs ( wow! Asst. manager at a family owned second-hand clothing store! ), drinking and smoking too much and generally fucking off. You'd think after a couple of years out of h.s. these people would get a clue..... Guess one can't go back in time to younger, more carefree times....

Just blowing off some frustrations......

That seems to be a common frustration of people attending some sort of post seconday institution. Most people that have talked to me about this (and for some reason I hear this most from people from small communities) echo the same frustrations as you.
I wouldn't worry about it. Most of us have our own problems/issues to deal with. You don't need to take on the problems of other people.
