Last I got checked (very recently) I came out cleaner than a whistle. Surprised me, with the ammount of unprotected sex I have been having since the break up, and then some *teehee*. I guess each one of my viruses counter balances another until they are all dead.

Yeah, I know chicks with STD's chlamydia, warts, herpes. I don't mess with those girls, I keep them around cuz they are FINE!

i have never had one, but last year i was at my friends house when her sister got a letter from planned parenthood saying that she has siphorous (i dunno if thats how to even say it, so its probably spelled wrong too) she was really upset, but then continued to sleep around and not tell anyone she had it >>not cool!<<

I have been in a relatioship for like 7 years and we still go get the dip stick evey 6 months like good non-married sexually active people. They come from other things tahn unprotected sex ya know... But mainly I get tested because my bestfriends older brother died of aids. He was captain of the football team, homecoming court all that bullshit... He was also a homosexual. The day he came out to us was the same day he told us he had aids... No more than 2 months later he was gone.

As RTG noted, it's very likely we've all known someone who has, or has had, an STD of some variety, with the exceptions being few and far between - it just depends on whether or not those people chose to publicize their afflictions to those of us beyond their bedrooms.
I personally voted the final option because I've known for a fact that a couple of people I used to hang around with were carrier monkies.
Good kids, all, but no damn sense.

I know secondhand of people and one of my very good friends, who's hot, has the Herp.

I, personally, came up clean when i got checked and i'd like to get checked again because i'm an anal retentive nutso who would check myself after every minor encounter with the opposite sex if i could.

And people aren't lying to themselves by saying they don't know anyone who has an STD because most people don't go around saying HEY! I've got the Syph! so how are we to know? Not something you can just assume.

Although, cold sores = oral herp so if you know someone with "cold sores" then bingo, you know someone with an "std"....although a great deal of people don't get it through sexual contact...almost all the people i know with it have had it since they were kids...

My girlfriend called me up one day crying that she had clymidia...and that *I* gave it to her. Now this is strange because I was clean before I met her; I know, I checked. I decided to get checked up anyway. Told the doctor the situation, gave me a PAINFUL prick with a cotton swab in the one eyed monster, took some zythromicin for the clymidia...and went home. She later found out that the clinic had misdiagnosed her =/ she was clean.

I was soooooooooooooooooooooo pissed at her....i was sore down there for a week!
