EA Sports Gets All Rights From NFLPA
Click for Link
Getting tired of ESPN 2K5's success this year, EA sports has inked a deal with the NFL to own the names of players, teams, and staduims for the next 5 years in the gaming industry.
Sorry ESPN

Re: EA Sports Gets All Rights From NFLPA
Sega puts out a good pruduct sells it for $20 instead of Maddens $50 price tag. EA lost a few bucks. So EA responds by knocking the legs out from under the ESPN NFL franchise. Compitition is a good thing. I love Madden but this lets them slow down the race to put out a better product year after year. Pretty sad I think. Heck EA doesn't even have to do anything but update rosters now. Zero competition is very bad for us... the consumer.

Re: EA Sports Gets All Rights From NFLPA
This is so sad! While EA makes a good FB game, having competitors keeps the games new and fresh.. Now all EA has to do is put a new title on it and change rosters.. They dont have to add anything or what and people will flock to it.. Im on an EA boycott now and wont touch anything with their name on it.
They did the thing with Nascar.. bought the rights to it so nobody else can make a game on it.
Its pretty sad cause the competitor VUgames/Papyrus was top of the line and the thunder/chase for the cup series sucks..
So in other words, if they cant beat em, buy the rights so they dont have to compete..
Monopoly no, but it should be..

Re: EA Sports Gets All Rights From NFLPA
This just totally blows. ESPN and Sega put out a great game this year with lots of potential to build on for the coming years and then sells it for 20 dollars, along comes EA scared that they are losing money and literally kills the competition. I'm definitely on board for the EA boycott.
