MMORPG = Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game

I played EverQuest for about 4 years off and on. It was fun, but so far I'm liking World of Warcraft the best. I tried City of Heros, it was really cool for awhile but I didn't like the quests/missions in it and it seemed more repetitive than most MMORPGs. I also tried, briefly, Horizons and one other one that I can't think of the name right now. They didn't seem as easy to jump right into. I was also on the beta for EverQuest 2, and didn't like that at all. It has higher system requirements than it really needed and ran poorly on my computer.

I spent three years in DAoC and enjoyed two of them quite a bit. Since then I've spent a year testing WoW, a short stint in AC2, EQ2 Beta (late Beta) and have stuck in EQ2.

I think that it all depends on the person. WoW was not for me, but I would highly recomend it to people new to the genre. I would also recomend EQ2 if you were wanting to start in a few months. Both games cater to people who have little previous experiance but WoW is far more polished at the moment.

Oh yeah, I got on the Matrix Online beta the same time I got on WoW. I never even got a chance to download the Matrix beta I was playing WoW so much.
