Re: best MMORPG
Gotta be WOW. It was the first I've played and since release, they are all the time releasing new content. Probablly 3-5 new dungeons and tons of new items since release. The expansion is due to come in a year or so with lots of new cool features. Can't wait

Re: best MMORPG
Dark Age of Camelot - good one
World of Warcraft beta - good but not exciting enough to pull me away from daoc
matrix online beta - I like the concept but again not good enough to pull me into paying
Lineage 2 - Looks were great, but there was very little in the way of gameplay
ultima online - was fun back in the day but moved on to bigger and better things
guild wars - have an account, decent game and no monthly fee...good for the I don't want to pay a monthly fee people. Because you have to buy the client they have some money to do some decent content and you can play with friends without worrying about what server they started on (you can port between them).
knight online - played it for a day, was fun but if I'm paying for something I'd rather put the time in on the things paid for.

Re: best MMORPG
After a stints in most major MMORPG's, my two most favorite are World of Warcraft (Pay 2 Play, Graphical) and Achaea (Free, Text-Based).

Re: best MMORPG
Ultima Online... five years. God I love that game. Now it's ruined, damn EA. WoW's good, I liked Planetside but it never got off the ground...

Re: best MMORPG
World of Warcraft for your casual player & Anarchy Online for a more in depth and detailed game.

Re: best MMORPG
Ragnarok Online. My friends and I played it since Beta testing began about 4 years ago. We started when there were only like 25-30 people on. We were probably some of the first American players on it.
I just havent been able to get into some of the new ones. I cant bring myself to become that consumed by a game anymore. Also for some strange reason I couldnt find the fucking point in sitting in the same place for hours on end doin the same fucking thing........like FISHING in FFXI ........ Fucking pointless.

Re: best MMORPG
Lets see here, I have played everquest, dark age of camelot, rubies of eventide, matrix online, final fantasy, anarchy online, star wars galaxies, and rose online. And a few others I might have missed.
But by far my favorite is world of warcraft

Re: best MMORPG
Final Fantasy 11 was pretty good, had me hooked on it for ~2years, only down side to that game is the notorious monster spawns, and the chinese gil farmers

Re: best MMORPG
I'd say RF Online. But only because I haven't tried W.O.W.
