If I had posted before you, I would have put Galaxies... and I still will. Star Wars Galaxies. unfortunately I've been busy and haven't played much since the battle upgrade and when I have had free time, I've got KOTOR fever bad does any one here MUD at all?

I played EQ for years, and then dropped my subscription about a year ago. I recently started playing around with Guild Wars, and have been having alot of fun with it. You can definitely get on with a bunch of friends and do the hardcore type stuff, but it is also a LOT easier to get on and solo with the henchmen. Just not nearly as much time required per session, and you have to love NO SUBSCRIPTION FEE!

I played Star Wars Galaxies for the first free month, and Im bored of it now. I also played the beta for Guild Wars. Since its free I think Ill play that one again, though.

My buddies all love WoW, though.

I played SWG when it first came out, and hated it. I decided to try it again after all the upgrades and added expansions. What a difference! Now I just have to convince a few friends to come back and join the fun!

Figured I'd pipe in...

Started in MMORPG's about 5 years ago when DAOC started.

Played DAOC mostly full time for 3.5 years. It has it ups (RvR) and downs (Mythic) but I enjoyed my time there by any measure.

Played WoW through Alpha and Beta, Glad I got the chance to do the Alpha, but upon release I did not pick it up (the cartoon look and leveling are just not for me.)

Been in EQ2 since it opened. I'm sort of mixed on it... been leveling slowly (not a lot of time) and at first I was not "hooked"... Now I would say that is getting better.

If I met a person that was new and wanted advice - I would recomend WoW, If I met someone with experiance I would recomend EQ2 or DAoC depending on how aggressive they were (I REALLY miss the RvR/PvP in DAoC.)

Personally I'm looking forward to the next batch of games and am hoping that someone does better with the PvP in a truely solid game.

I quit SWG after the upgrade. I was one that couldnt handle the change. I mean, had they spoon fed it to us in increments it may not have been so bad.. but to login in and know/see that my characters were total shit.. I couldnt hang. needless to say, I was sad to see the game go.. and if anyone from Sony of SOE is listening.. suck my cock you fuckers.


Im playing WOW now. and Im enjoying it so far. Just started playing it within the last week or so. so Im still getting used to it. I like how everything is very quest based.

since those are the only games ive played. I cant really say with one out there is the best..

I miss EQ. I had a 65 druid on Vallon Zek. The game was quite a challenge and skill was truely a factor in both pvp and pve (well unless of course you were buddies with the zerg.) I play WoW now, but it's kinda fast paced. Too many classes have set strats vs other classes so pvp is pretty predictible. Battlegrounds are pretty awesome if your not with a group of retards. Its also nice to see high end content without being in a powerhouse guild.
