You must understand, that when Richard Nixon was president with Henry Kissinger as his advisor, one of the most amazing foreign policy actions he did was to visit China and being "friendly" terms with China. This was ingenious because it caused Russia and China (The two biggest Communist powers, and hence threat to America, at the time) to become seperated. China is actively engaged in replacing America as the world super-power and we are probably going to have a war with them within our life time. lAll I can say is, gee thanks a lot Mr. Bush, I consider really good foriegn policy to be dropping bombs anywhere I damn-well please. Oh, how 'bout that dollar by the way?

Jumping? Mexico would let them right in. We don't have strong border regulations until you get to Sonoita, Sonora, or Casas Grandes Chihuahua. Then you need to have a permit for your car and a whole bunch of other shit. Americans can easily live in the northern states for the rest of their lives, no problem.

I don't see that this gives any indication that they are trying to surpass us, nor do I see that this is somehow Bush's fault. How about explaining your arguement bleh?

Re: THANK YOU Mr. Bush

Ha. I know that Liberals are quick blame anything and everything on George W. Bush, but this is getting ridiculous. Please tell me how Bush is responsible for Russia and China getting together to have a war game. Then tell me why it hurts us so bad... or at all.

I agree with China becoming a super power but that is still a long ways off. And what is with the "we will probably have a war with them in our lifetime?" Just because they will have more power??

Yeah, I would have to agree. I think China is on the rise to become the next Super Power. Kind of scary I'd say. I would have to get way better auto insurance.

Re: THANK YOU Mr. Bush

Hmmm...where would we fight? "Superpowers" haven't gone to war officially with eachother since WWII (unless you want to consider the Cold War, which really wasn't a war but seemingly a strategic competition) and to say the least, technology has advanced slightly since then. (And by slightly I mean tremendously.) Nukes? Probably. So really it would be another Cold War, no?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think China has the largest standing army of any nation on Earth,

By far the largest at around 375 million I think. Which doesn't mean a whole lot for discussions about a potential US-China war. China isn't exactly going to invade the US unless some idiot in office decides to get rid of our nukes... which will never happen.

Were you planning on explaining your stance? I'd still like to hear why this is so bad, and why Bush is to blame.

Re: THANK YOU Mr. Bush

numbers no longer win wars, technology + highly trained military wins conflicts nowdays, the only way a huge standing army would make any difference is in full combat situations with another army, but with laser guided missles, and the complete technological superiority the us has over any other country in the world would handle that in a minute, here is how it goes, conflict begins, we go in with missiles and air power and wipe out their air defences/power, after that is over we roll in with air to ground air craft and the abhrams and wipe out whatever mechanized force they have then it is just clean up after that, i hope everyone understands that urban warfare and terrorists actions do not achieve military goals it just cause instability in an area, and that area wouldn't be our homeland, they could use nuclear weapons but that pretty much equals the end of their country as they know it, as far as i know the chinese are still using russian technology and tanks, and we kinda seen how that went in a smaller scale in iraq, the soviet tanks and aircraft cannot compete with what we have now

and does anyone seriously think anyone would attack us on our home soil, we might not have a big army now, but i would love to see the recruiting stations after an attack on america, the only way there will be any wars with america in the future is if we initiate it, no actual country would be dumb enough to attack the US,

the economic market that america supplies china with might be enough to keep them from attacking us alone
