FAVRE, no question. Let's see Ripken get hit by a 300 pound guy he doesn't see coming. Yeah, didin't think so.

Re: Farve or Ripken??
Favre... Ripken had a few games he barely played, also... and that's not cause he got put out of the game on injury. Sometimes he would just play 2 or 3 innings and rest. That's not to take away from Cal's incredible run, but I just think Brett's is better.

Re: Farve or Ripken??
Favre, without a doubt. The sport is so different physically, and the point about Cal's short games is a good one.

Re: Farve or Ripken??
Most definately farve. I have much respect for b/b players but football is a sport where you have to use many skills at once. In baseball they have base coaches......COME ON! You can't deside whether you can make it from one bag to another one your own!

Re: Farve or Ripken??
HA HA HA...I had a feeling this was going to be one sided. Yes, Favre's streak is more impressive. Football (especially for QB's) is much more gruling. Plus the guy has gone through alot of personal things lately with the deaths in the family and his wife having breast cancer. But lets not take away from Cal's. It's right up there.
Geez. I just realized I spelled Favre's name wrong when I started this thread.

Re: Farve or Ripken??
Favre's is better.. and Ripkens is equally impressive! Now i wanna see Brett reach the all time record. That would rule. Only 6 more seasons!
