Has anyone here every used or heard of mytunes? Its AMAZING, if you're in college you're in luck because I think that is where it is most effective. It is a p2p file-sharing (music only actually) program that uses iTunes to copy songs from everyone else WITHIN the campus network. This is improtant because it stays within the college network, which means the fucktard RIAA has no way of knowing or monitoring this. At least thats what I believe how the theory goes. Could anyoen esle back me up on this or discuss it?

MyTunes disappearance due to computer failure
Monday, March 8, 2004 @ 6:25pm

Last year, a program called "MyTunes" appeared online, allowing networked users of Apple's iTunes digital jukebox software to download songs from each other. Now, as some predicted, the popular software has all but vanished from the Net, and its programmer's sites have gone dark. But this time, it's not the doing of an angry record industry or a conflict-averse Apple. Trinity College sophomore Bill Zeller, who wrote the program in less than two weeks of off-time coding last year, says he simply lost the source code in a catastrophic computer crash. "I was about to release the second version, when I lost everything," Zeller said.

Re: myTUnes

Well, that kind of sucks. Anyway, there's another program out there almost as good. Try using ourTunes. It allows almost the same kind of stuff. I'm using myTunes Redux, so I can't give you any advice or anything. Sorry.

Wow, that's a shitty way to lose that stuff. You'd think there was an FTP backup though...
