Shrooms are soooo much damn fun. when in amsterdam i bought a bunch. just like the weed there, the shrooms in amsterdam are a hell of a lot stronger than anything i've gotten stateside. while i can't say that i ever saw "cops riding unicycles with sirens on their head " i did spent a few hours looking at my reflection in the hotel pool. talk about fasinazing. i pulled a chair up to the edge of the pool and staired down at the water for several hours. if i had done that at a hotel here, i probably would have been arrested, but over there i guess they are used to tourists with glassy eyes acting strange.
the one thing i've noticed about shrooms that always amazes me-everyone loves them & is always looking for them. But nobody ever has any. mabey its where i am (south fl) but they are always scarce.

at first i stayed in a cheep hostle (read the story below if you ever plan on traveling to amsterdam)
after a bad experience, spent the rest of the time at a hotel i can't remember the name. basically it was like the european euivilant to a cheep marriot or hilton. like your everyday hotel chain.
funny story-backpacking thru eastern europe with sister. 1st stop amsterdam. to save money stayed at the first hostle we saw upon entering red light district, cant remember the name offhand but if i heard it or saw a pic i could id it. from what i remember (which isn't much) it was close to the Grasshopper. the place was a shithole but what do you expect for the equivilant of $5.00/nite. no elevator. 5 or 6 floors.room had 2 beds, plywood boards for table & sink. shower was in a closet down the hall. toilet in adjacent closet .By closet i mean a 2 foot by 2 foot area, basicallly a linen closet converted into a shower, behind a unlockable door. someone stands guard while you shower & vice versa. 1 toilet and shower per floor. room had a window that looked out over an enclosed coutyard type area that most people seemed to use to catch their vomit.
1st night- after i turned out the light i thought i heard something scratching but figured it was the drugs.
2nd night-hear same scratching. after noting that the front desk area was occupied by 1 guy and dozens of cats, realized scratching was probably just cute little mice. i was too fucked up to care. i put on headphones and passed out. in the middle of the night awoke because of a severe pain in my arm. when i used my other hand to feel the area, i eventually (it took about 10 seconds to process) realized that i just grabed a huge pissed off RAT. the fucker jumped from a hole in the wall above my bed on to me and tried to eat me. i freaked out and threw it across the room, where it landed on my sister. keep in mind i was more stoned than i had ever been in my life.still very wasted and not thinking clearly. ended up paying the desk clerk $10.00 to let us spend the night downstairs on a mattres (with the cats as guards) in a back room. the next day decided that a hotel room was well worth the money.
when i got back to the US i stopped at a medical clinic on the drive home from the airport and got a rabies shot
MORAL OF THE STORY-when in amsterdam, don't skimp on the acomidations

One of the few things from Texas that I enjoy is our shrooms ... can get them most any time around here .. but I'd still rather go to Amsterdam to try the shrooms there .. as well as all the killer freaking bud ...

Yeah, you can go outside and pick up P. cubensis all year long. The stuff from Oregon and California is better though, as I understand. The only thing is, you can only get them on spring and fall.

Here's a little story about mushrooms with a moral:
Three days ago I was sitting in my dorm room smoking a bowl when my two friends came in to chill. They had both taken shrooms, but Ben had taken a quarter an hour before Kyle had taken a half-eighth. Anyways, I found out that Ben had also taken 4 10 mg Ambien (a sleeping aid that induces a trip if you fight sleep). So he was gone, wasted, whatever word you use to describe utter disconnection from the world, and he was in my room. We tried to get him to smoke a bowl, but he couldn't remember how to do it; when he held the bowl up to his lips and we sparked the lighter to smoke it he screamed and threw the bowl across the room because it scared him. He also tried to drink out of a straw and couldn't coordinate his mouth to do so. Well we tried to talk to him and he would just stare and try to say something, but his tongue was in the way and he couldn't. He went into the bathroom, and I was scared that he was going to fall and hurt himself, so when I went to check on him 5 mins later, I wasn't surprised to see him lying on the floor........in a pile of his own shit and vomit. He was crying just like a baby, and he could only listen, not speak. We got him in the shower with a lot of babying and coaxing, and when he was clean (45 mins later) I gave him clothes and bagged up his, which were covered in excrement. We almost had him out my door when he fell to his knees and started vomiting again, then passed out and was twitching and jumping. He came to about 10 secs later; his eyes were bloodshot and his nose was bleeding. We took him to his room and watched him all night, and in the morning he was ok-if he hadn't we had planned to take him to the hospital. Moral of the story: don't be an amateur and mix shit together that logically should never be mixed. Also, take mushrooms in moderation because a lot of people don't realize how potent they can be even in small doses.

actually u could be wrong. i have taken shrooms many times. i have bought them and i grew them when i was in tahoe. they grow wild up there btw, there are quite a few entire fieldsa of them. i have tripped many times. it depends on the person and just how much they take. if u don't believe me tough i don't care. i know what i have experienced and how i did it. the shrooms i grew were not laced and i have followed everything i have found on the subject of growing them. you are however correct on the fact they they increase the seratonin levels, wich in some people can trigger hallucinations similar to those experienced on acid or peyote. i just happen to be one of those lucky people. and i do know there are not many people like me that do experience these lucinations and would love to congratulate those that are privelidged enough to be this way.
