Re: GTA:SA 4 days away!
It's release has been filled with mixed feelings about the game. Those who have already downloaded the game say that it's the best ever, others don't think so, they weren't impressed. We'll have to see.

Re: GTA:SA 4 days away!
I heard it was good from the reviews I've read, but who knows...
Does anyone know if GTA:SA is coming to XBox, and if so, when? Both the other GTA's have, so I figure this one will eventually as well.
Sucks that I have to wait a couple months for it though.

Re: GTA:SA 4 days away!
I got it, and I love it. New features include being able to build seeable muscles, customize hair/clothes like mad, tons of stats (even sex appeal lol), when you fall into water, you can SWIM, headshot 1-hit-kills, enhanced melee combat, and a fairly compelling story that so far isn't as "whoopty-fuck, it's a job" mercenary style like the other 2 were. You feel like you BELONG on Grove Street, it's your turf, the NPCs are your homies, etc.
It's GTA advanced pretty much. If you like GTA, you will devote your life to San Andreas.

Re: GTA:SA 4 days away!
It's alright... From the technical side of things, I think it could be better.
This game is so friggan hard. I keep getting shot the f___ up in the first mission. Stupid red car.
This is like vice city but worse in difficulty -- not so much the game play, but the annoying camera. I like a challenge, but gosh dang, this 3d camera stuff really makes the ergonomics of the game beyond me. I stink at 3d games where the camera won't go "through" objects. When the camera moves, the controller perspective moves, and that totally throws me off. I cant get the camera "fixed" no matter what position I try.
I was also a bit disappointed with the lack of DTS in the game. Vice City used DTS. Dolby Pro Logic II is better than nothing, I guess.
The graphics of this game are sub-par, with very jagged edges, but there's a widescreen mode which lets it fit my TV perfectly.
I give it one and a half thumbs up, out of two. So many thumbs are up because I have to give credit to the developers for the hard work this game must have taken, and I bet this game will be better once I play.
The "N" words and "F" words are quite excessively used in this game, almost too much and they get repetitive.
The action in this game is great, though, as Insaniteus said.
I guess this really needs a console to support what the game could be.
Also, the music audio quality is MP3 at best, probably because they put in so many radio stations and they had to make room somehow. It sounds like you're listening to Sirius.
Other than the technical aspects of the game, it's alright.

Re: GTA:SA 4 days away!
eh... i will wait till it comes to PC. All the GTAs look better on PC than on console anyway. At least the PS2 version. I know it is a hell of a lot easier to control on PC. I tried playing Vice City on console, and I hated it. I guess I am just used to mouse look and ASDF. *shrugs*
Slated for release on PC somewhere from May -> July of next year. woot.
