Re: Edwards and his hair

Jimi - here are some FACTS for you....unemployment right now is at 5.4%.

10-year Median - 5.3%
50-year Median - 5.7%
60's Median - 4.9%
70's Median - 5.9%
80's Median - 7.2%
90's Median - 5.6%

Considering that we're only 3 years removed from 9/11 and a recession - 5.4% really isn't bad. Quit your bitching! (or try studying business instead of poly sci)

Re: Edwards and his hair

What is your source? I'm seeing that we're higher now than we have been in years. Also, there haven't been many years that have been worse than the last two since 1940.

Editted because I somewhat misread the graph.

Wrong again Lil Buddy! Kerry has refused to authorize the complete release of his military records by filling Form 180.

Re: Edwards and his hair

Are you fucking kidding me? How close-minded can you be? First off.... his story was substantiated by the man he SAVED to get his purple heart and his bronze star. The people who have said negative things about Kerry's record WERE NOT EVEN THERE. As far as your terrorism comment, you, my brainless "friend", are exactly why Bush's ratings are as high as they are right now. Because people concentrate on terrorism, and forget the rest of what Bush didn't do. If you think that an American will become a terrorist because of an election.... then it's YOU with the tendencies. Not me.

Re: Edwards and his hair

Regarding the unemployment data - my source is the same as yours, but I have access to a proprietary database product that allows me to manipulate the data in order to determine those medians...

I'm not sure how you're interpreting the table you linked to - to say that the last two years are (nearly) as bad as any since 1940? In what way?

Ahh.. you're manipulating the records? In the way that it was as high as 6.0. Clinton's admin never even got to 5.

Re: Edwards and his hair

Okay, I'll try to make this simple. First...manipulating does not mean altering. Second... my data source is monthly. Third...look at the damn data in the table YOU linked to - 1992 was 7.5%, 1993 was 6.9%. Fourth...yeah, that's called a TABLE that you misread, not a GRAPH.

Jimi, you are one crazy dude! I have to go catch a flight (because I am gainfully employed). I will catch up on your latest propaganda later.

Propaganda? Check my sources. You are blind. You are refusing to accept fact because you have made up your mind. That's all there is to it. And yes, it is a table. You are reaching now.

There is also a difference. Clinton got elected in 1992. It went from 7.5 to 7.2. Bush went from 4.0 to 5.4 in 4 years.

Bullshit.

Most of the outsourcing is for products sold in the US

It's the american consumers fault for companies outsourcing.

The same person that bitches aobut outsorcing roams the aisles at walmart looking for that $50 microwave, buy it, throw it in their trunk and still protest and bitch about the president cause all these jobs are going overseas.

All the protesting in the world is not going to stop the american consumer from wanting cheaper and cheaper products.

The crap you buy at walmart is either chinese made crap or it's walmart strongarming american businesses to go cheaper every year, and if they dont, they end the contract.

Now the company that has invested in machinery and employees to make enough volume to sell to walmart at such thin margins is doomed.

Gov't cant change the fact that most people wont pay $300 for a product when american business is free to buy a chineese made version. And it would be wrong for the gov't to tell the business that imports them they cant buy them anymore. They'd have to go as far as a trade embargo. Then the same dipshits who protested the outsourcing to china (and other countries) will bitch about how unfair we are to china and the others cause they cant find their cheap, shit quality products.

Instead of blaming the administration why dont you blame it on the real problem? The spoiled american consumers.

Re: Edwards and his hair

People are losing jobs due to outsourcing. They need to buy cheaper products, because they can't afford the more expensive products. If the tax cuts were done on companies investing in fabrication INSIDE the US, there would be more jobs, increasing the GDP, allowing people to afford more. As it is now, we have to spend money on importing US products made in other countries. China is getting our money. Turkey, the Philippines, Hungary... they are getting our money to produce goods that COULD be made in the US.

People wont work for small wages in a factory.

And what happens when the companies can afford healthcare for them?

More bitching.

Re: Edwards and his hair

40 states are outsourcing state jobs.

"Truth be told, NBC’s call to the Georgia food stamp office was answered in India — as in the country of some 9,000 miles away." - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4450796/

Are you kidding me? STATE jobs are being outsourced to places like India? Outside of Tax cuts, what benefits do the American's get by outsourcing jobs like this for state jobs? These are government jobs! Our government can afford to wage war on a country illegally, but we can't afford jobs for our own people?
