Question for the ladies

Is there some unwritten rule that a gentleman in his early 40s can't admire and compliment a young woman anymore? Recently I complimented a 20ish young lady on her appearance, I didnt even get the slightest smile or God forbid a thank you. I don't get it, are we as men turning women against us with all the harrassment issues? I for one hope not, I truely love all women and am not afraid to voice a compliment. Any ladies views or experiences will be greatly appreciated.

Some good looking girls are uppity bitches and are disdainful of compliments coming from anyone they don't deem as worthy of their time and attention. Some girls are totally appreciative of compliments from any source. It varies from girl to girl. Personally, I think age has little to do with it. I've always been flattered by compliments from older men...with the exception of the guy who kissed my hand and proceeded to keep on going up my arm! Personally I find a compliment from an older man more sincere and gentlemanly than the ones from the hotshot younger players. I wouldn't let it discourage you, just because one girl was a bitch.

I compliment women, men, kids, older folks all the time....i was in zara one day and told one chick in front of her boyfriend that she had gorgeous hair (kinda like sonrisas). If i like something why not express that? It might make someones day or have a great impact. Even if you were trying to get to talk to her, she could have said thank you and kept moving. (besides, someone who is gonna not take a compliment nicely from an older gent who's not so great looking, probably is a bitch to a not-so-hot younger guy as well...biatches) Hope this helps.
