Re: ps2 mod chips

Depending on what you want to do, you may not need a mod chip. Please tell us what you are planning to do if your console got chipped.

Re: ps2 mod chips

Unless your going to play burn't dvd's or copied ps2 games you dont really need one. I just searched online for one and they are about 30 or so. If you just seach for them on Yahoo you can find tons of info.

Re: ps2 mod chips

Well, the newer PS2's are able to play burned DVD's right out of the box without the help of a mod chip. I believe alot of the older ones too were able to do this as well. I was watching a burned movie last night on mine and it worked flawlessly. As for playing games, by purchasing a hard drive and writing some software to your memory card, you can play the games off your hard drive and also FTP games over to your PS2.

Re: ps2 mod chips

If you wanna play back-ups of ps2 or ps one games you can get the magic slide tool. Its basically a boot disc, then a plastic tool that lets you pull out the tray and swap in a back up. I just got a ps2 and have been using that. Its pretty easy as long as you have the slide tool the right way, otherwise you can throw the drive off the track. Just do a search for ps2 magic slide.
