I went to the farewell ceremony in Seattle for Edgar Martinez last night and I have to say it was one of the best nights of my life. Bud Selig was there and declared that the Designated Hitter Award would now be called that "Edgar Martinez Award". There was not a die eye in the house after he made his farewell speech and proceeded to jog around the Stadium. There was so much more that happened but it would take to much time. It was truely a magical night for a magical player. Thanks Edgar for the 18 years of memories for this die-hard M's fan.
