Re: Bush on O'Reilly Factor

"It's funny, Bill vs. Bill, emphasis on the versus...now what was the interview with Bush called?"

I consider any interview, save a few prime ones, Bill vs. whoever.. It was meant more as a joke, because I know they would have issues to talk about. You really, really shouldn't take everything so literally.

Not to mention I haven't taken to time to watch Bill within the last 2 months, due to school. I rarely watch tv period, so it's not like I'm making an exception. You obviously have watched Bill and you know how he is. I believe I stated in an old, old thread that he can be quite abrasive, and yes I do tend to disagree on a few issues with him, especially including his treatment of some people who are guests, but that isn't to belittle my other point. There is a certain respect that goes with someone in power. Sorry if the fact that I was raised that way disappoints you and perhaps makes me agree with Bill's treatment of Bush, but that's the way it is.

Re: Bush on O'Reilly Factor

O'Reilly is a puppet and not considered a credible journalist ... except by some members of a certain party. I encourage people to see "Outfoxed" to see how slanted that network, as a whole(including O'Reilly), is. Sure, the movie paints the network in the worst possible light, but that doesn't mean the the points aren't true.

It's an eye opener.

I agree with you, the President of our country should definitely be given some respect ... if not for the person certainly for the office. But ... as somebody who want's to be considered as a "journalist", this was the oppurtunity to ask the difficult questions and not to simply stroke the President's platform. Which I believe is what O'Reilly did ... throw the cream puff questions instead of the tough ones. You can still treat Bush with respect while asking the tough questions. It's the duty of a good, credible "journalists".
