if my gf forgets to take her birth control one day and we have sex that night, and i finish inside her, are we at risk of her getting pregnant? she has been on the pill for like 3 yrs now, i think.

my ex always took 2 the next day when that happened. you 2 are at risk though cause birth control isn't 100% effective.

My girlfriend told me that if you forget it one, and ONLY one, night, that it isn't really a problem...go more than that and it isn't effective for about a week. I'd say if she takes Clemson's advice to take one in the morning and one at night (to avoid a large dosage all at once, I don't take medicine lightly), then you should be just fine.

you are always at risk, that being said BC is like 99.99999% effective IF TAKEN CORRECTLY

if she misses one dose it will throw off the whole rest of the month, when you miss a dose the best thing to do is for her to take the missed does right away and then go back to here normal time

so if she normally takes it at midnight, but forgets one night and rememebers in the morning then she should take the missed dose ASAP and the take the next does again at midnight the normal time


overall I would not worry too much about it, BC works in more ways then one to prevent her from becoming pregnant

I think it varies with the brand of pill you are taking. With some pills you have a larger window to take them within. Others it has to be the EXACT same time or the effectiveness drops to somewhere around 80%.

As for missing a day, go read the little pamphlet that came with the pack. It should tell you whether you are supposed to take 2 the next day, take one ASAP, or if it's no big deal. Varies with the type of pill. If you don't have the pamphlet handy, call a pharmacy and ask to speak to the pharmacist on duty.

Well, it's different for all girls, I suppose, but I've missed one and two days on many occasions and it was all fine. Just make sure she takes the missed pill as soon as she remembers and then her next one on time.

If she is really concerned, there is a way to use birth control pills as the morning after pill. If you google it, you'll find what combination of pills to use, depending on what brand she takes.

My girlfriend just told me she's been off of birth control for almost a month now because she hasn't had time between work and classes to get it refilled. Now her nipples are ultra-sensitive and this has me really worried. Is this a side effect from her going off birth control, or should I be worried about her possibly being pregnant?

extremely sensitive nipples is a sign of pregnancy. if she hasn't been on it for a month are you still having sex. are you still finishing in her. are you sure she just isn't ready to tell you she is pregnant and that is why she quit taking it

Patito, sensitive breasts and nipples is a symptom of pregnancy, but also of PMS. Is she really tired? Feeling bloated and her clothes don't fit right? Moody? Symptoms that can also be either thing. Really, the only way for you guys to know for sure is to go take a pregnancy test. And she really should have told you she wasn't taking anything BEFORE you guys had sex.

I agree OG. I use a condom still when I finish, but sometimes when we start I don't because I thought she was on B.C. She actually said she thinks she's lost some weight because her pants were slipping down a lot. She didn't seem moody at all, except she cried a little Saturday night... but she gets beer tears occasionally and we had been drinking for awhile. She thinks the oversensitivity is because it's right before her period. So, we'll see. Let's hope it's not a kid. We did talk about what we would do if she is.
