Seems the thread that was basically this idea has been lost, so here we go again. What scares me about GW is that he has claimed "Mission Accomplished", yet we're still losing soldiers, and have lost over 1,000. People younger than ME are dying.... for what? So we can gain access to oil? Make Iraq a "better place"? Protector ourselves from Iraqis who had nothing that we needed to defend ourselves from? I tried listing the names of soldiers who died in Iraq, but WR wouldn't let me do it, I kept going over the alotted amount of characters. When is the death toll enough? About 2,700 people died in the WTC. When we reach 2,700 people in Iraq, is that enough? When we kill twice as many people in the name of vengeance, is that enough? When the hell is enough enough?

The mission accomplished banner was for the sailors on that aircraft carrier after they returned home from their tour.

Re: What scares you about George Dubya?

So, the mission entailed the bombing of innocents, instead of tactical weopon depots or major governmental leader residences, or really anything that may have been deemed relevant to that initiation of an attack?

So your mission accomplished banner point wont come up again considering you took it into complete different direction?

Kerry says if he knew then what he knows now he would have voted for the Iraq war.

9-20-04

Staking out new ground on Iraq Sen. John Kerry said Monday he would not have overthrown Saddam Hussein had he been in the White House, and he accused President Bush of "stubborn incompetence," dishonesty and colossal failures of judgment.

Re: What scares you about George Dubya?

No, more or less, it was a question of what mission exactly was accomplished. I have yet to get a good answer.

Re: What scares you about George Dubya?

As anyone in the Navy knows, coming home wouldn't be considered an accomplished mission. The mission accomplished was the fact they they aided in initiating the war. Therefore, my assumption that the mission at hand was actually helping bomb innocent people outside of any tactical bomb sites is true.

Re: What scares you about George Dubya?

It scares me that w doesn't seem to know what's going on.

It scares me that kerry can't make up his mind about what's going on.

Nader doesn't seem to get the difference.

so, I'm going to write in Jenna Jameson on my ballot. (Is she 35 yet to make it into the whitehouse?)

Re: What scares you about George Dubya?

Nibiru, why do you insist on implying that the US purposely bombed civilians... like it was a war strategy or something?

Re: What scares you about George Dubya?

Because that's about all that was accomplished in the initial bombing! That's why!

Dude. The general public has no f'ing clue what was accomplished because the reports haven't been released. They won't be for a while. It's called Classified Information. What else would you expect in war? Technology is not, nor will ever be perfect and mistakes are made. Civilians now are still rebelling against the troops that their country is effectively paying to stay.

Re: What scares you about George Dubya?

I would like to see the number off innocent Iraqis killed. Maybe we can make more sense of these numbers. I'm not blaming our people over there. I hope they come out fine. I hope not one more soldier is killed. I just want truth to come to light, and thus far, it's not happening. When a little light is shed on the whole situation, the Bush administration just comes up with some kind of excuse, then changes the subject to someone else.

Re: What scares you about George Dubya?

We have ALL seen the video of the bombings in Iraq. The city of Baghdad was lit up. There is footage of people crying because their loved ones were killed by the US in bombings that hit places such as a fuckin' hotel. What the hell was the hotel bombed for? Was it because Hussein may have stayed there once before while one of his many houses was being fumed?
