so, does he or his friends have rich parents?

Otherwise, who can buy a 42" plasma screen tv when you are in college and not allowed to work under your football scholorship.

hmmm UT boosters

Sounds like Cedric needs to do a little time and become someone's wife behind bars!

I hadn't heard this story. Interesting to say the least.

The story that I'm still baffled by is this one:

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=1637854

Misdemeanor assault? Bullshit. Suspended one game? Bullshit.

Just my personal opinion though. I'm now hearing that Huston's accuser, Matthew Scott, will be brought up on trespassing charges if he continues to press the issue. Right. Because, ya know, he was the ONLY trespasser on the field. :bs:

This is home turf stuff for me, living here in Missouri. It's all over the media. I actually saw the game on TV.

Mizzou hadn't beaten Nebraska at home since 1973!

Here's the scoop. The video wasn't clear if the Mizzou student said anything. He certainly wasn't in the Nebraska guy's face. They were crossing paths, something was said and the Nebraska player just jacked this guy. I mean he crushed the fan's chin. The video shows Mizzou QB Brad Smith (future NFL stud) right behind the Husker Hick, checking the entire situation out. He reaches out toward the fan, then follows the Nebraska player.

So, here's my take. If they have to fine the student, fine him. He got caught. It's a violation. Shut up and take your punishment. But the Nebraska guy should face assault charges. You can't randomly jack some guy's jaw if you're not in peril.

There was no "clear and present danger" --the legal standard-- presented to the player. His team had just been upset, so he teed off on a fan. Suspend him. Jail him. Fine him. Otherwise, we'll give players the right to punch out fans everytime the crowd comes onto the field to celebrate.

The fan's lucky. This could have been a Kermit Washington - Rudy T. kinda moment. That's how hard the guy got hit!

I agree completely ... and yeah, he certainly did get jacked. I've seen that video replayed several times and every time you'll always find me saying: "Ohhhh!!!!!! That **HAD** to hurt!"
