Why cant I view .avi files
I have WMP 9.0, all other formats are fine but .avi. What other programs are good for playing .avi files? Thanks

Get GSpot. It'll tell you if the file is really an AVI file or not and if so what video and audio codecs it's using

I always us mplayer2 to play my avi files. I hate how clunky the regular player is. The codecs that you want to get are DivX and XviD. Those are two of the most common ones used. For audio its usual Mp3 or Ac3.
