Why is that men adore the women with long hair? I normally have short hair...have even had it about 1/2 inch long all over...and LOVED it...anyway...I've let it grow for over a year now...simply because a friend of mine suggested I do so. Soooooooo...I did. Anyway...I like the way it looks, but again...being someone who's had short hair for the last 15 years I just can't understand having long hair. My hair is thick and drives me insane to have to dry it...fix it...all of the mess that goes along with it...

So, I made an appointment to get it cut tomorrow...something I've been thinking about for quite sometime. I will; by 6:30 tomorrow evening go back to my happy self with shorter hair... *smiles*

But my question still remains...why do men like longer hair? I've asked several men and all I get is this...they find shorter hair sexy and appealing on women...but they would never want their women to have short hair? Do all men agree? What is it about men and women with long hair?

Oh...and btw...sorry to say...it doesn't really matter about the guy's opinions...my hair will be short tomorrow *wink*

Honestly.. guys like longer hair because its more feminine.. and sexier in style. Longer hair also gives an appearance of a thinner build and face.. where as short hair doesn't have that effect.

Regardless.. if your hair isn't long.. what will be left to hold on to when we bend you over??

i myself have always had short hair. i did have it kinda long my senior year of hs. which was about 2 yrs ago. and recently ive wanted to grow it out. but its at that length that just bugs the shit outta me and i just wanna chop it off!! but i wanna see how long it will grow til my birthday which is dec. 15. so we will see. but i am curious which guys like better. either way ill do what i want just wanna know what guys like?

I completely understand..I had hair down to my butt growing up...such a pain...actually I had long hair until high school...then cut it a little shorter...would grow it out...but always went back to short...it's just much easier for me...I hate having to take too much time getting ready to go places...and I'd much rather just take the easier root and still look decent doing so...I don't think hair makes a woman any sexier or beautiful...at least it shouldn't...it's how they feel about themselves and what type of person they are...yet...again..society is so set upon women with long hair and skinny little butts...BLAH...that's all I have to say on that...

^^LOL and do we get a pic of your long hair?? I'm kinda curious as to what that would look like.....i used to be a short haired gal, but now i love it long.

I've never really cared too much which guys liked more, but what was easiest for me and what i kinda liked...but now that ive had it longer i will keep it this way. =)

I'd say the entire preference of long hair is just because it makes a woman look more like a woman and less like a guy. Either way, hair length isn't important to me, so I'm good either way .

I will admit that I have a big thing for long curly hair. That was one of the first things that attracted me to my wife. (The first time I saw her she had her back to me. I just remember thinking, "Nice ass.... GREAT HAIR!") As much as I like long hair (yum) I don't mind short hair, just so long as it's not a boy's cut. I've never really understood that on a woman.

That being said, Lx3, I do expect to see some before and after pictures.

my hair is about sholder length now. but like 5 months ago it was down to my boobs, and one day i got my nails done, and the hair cutting place was right next door, so i went in and just decided to cut my hair to just under my chin, its getting longer now, and i like the way it looks long, but i love the way it feels when its short, i cant really do anything with it when its short, because i have such thin hair that it doesnt stay any way that i want it to, but it still feels nice. derrick actually likes short hair though, im not sure why, but he says that short hair makes girls seem more mature and older. i dont see it, but thats his opinion.

I had short hair in high school and the general consensus was that I was "cute". Blech. I hated being called cute. Since I've grown my hair long, I not only feel sexier but find that guys look at me differently.

I expect that one day I'll cute it to some adorable tousley little style, but for now, it stays long.

Okay, can I geek out for a moment and share results from a research study done by one of my former employers (for a client--I'm in advertising, the grand manipulation of emotions) about this exact subject?

According to a number of studies and the research we conducted, the male attraction to females with long hair is primal. Long hair carries a sign of fertility and good health, creating natural stimulation among men (hence our love of pulling long hair during sex--thanx, Juan!). Remember, deep down inside, we're truly just animals who are here to continue the species. Like it or not, we respond in kind, usually without knowing it.

BUT . . .here's the fun part! Men view women with short hair as more adventerous. Short hair is also a sign of "attitude" in a good way. Women with short hair (truly short, spiked, cropped, etc) are viewed as sexually exciting and more open to experimentation. They're usually viewed as more confident and more powerful (in terms of character and sexuality).

Short answer, long hair equals I'm turned on let's do it and then settle down. Short hair equals let's get wild and see what happens . . . and, do you want to take control for awhile, baby!

Personally, I love both. I judge by the person. Take Madonna for example. In my opinion, the sexiest she has ever been was in the late '80's when she did the ultra short platinum blonde thing. Wow! The thought of it still makes my fur stand up!

Being sexy is an attitude, your hair is an accessory to that attitude. Be who you want and convey that to the world. If the world doesn't like it, then the world is the one that loses. Find your strength and display it accordingly! Create your own beauty.
