How to tell someone
How do you let someone know you're interested? Do you just bluntly tell them, and hope for the best outcome? Or are you a little more subtle and offer little hints of how you feel...in order to see what's going on in their mind first?
Another added question since I've already started the first one...say you let this person know how you feel, and in the end you find that their interests aren't the same....how do you handle this rejection? :wiggle:

Re: How to tell someone
It depends how close I am with that person to begin with, usually I'm already close to them if I feel that way about them so I can tell them fairly directly.
As for the other part...I just end up sucking it up and remind myself that I'm still their friend.

Re: How to tell someone
ill tell you from the guys point of view lol.
Little hints if u still want to be friends and have nothing be weird if hes not interested. But little hints and flirting is half the fun really. Enough to show interest but not enough to put the guy on the spot.
If he has the same feelings, trust me, he will flirt back and show interest also, then let him know.

Re: How to tell someone
The last time this happened to me, well, the only time this happened to me, I was begged by this girl from work to go to a party, so I did... but avoided her because I wasn't at all interested in her. She eventually confronted me about it, and i was just honest about it, that i didn't like her in that way.

Re: How to tell someone
see she put u on the spot, its a bit harder for a guy to be like "i dont like you" then to just not flirt back.
I have been put on the spot by girls I did not like, and it was akward

I'm myself, invite them to hang out and read their body language. If its someone I want relationship-wise, I wait 3 dates to determine wether or not I wanna pursue it. If by the 3rd date she is unresponsive, NEXT. Usually that keeps them intereseted and they keep calling and wanting to hang out since they realized I don't want them no more. By then, I push them into the friends list and they eventually either give up, or keep being friends. I don't like the hunt so much unless she is a 9 or better.
If its a one nighter thing, I'm myself, buy a few drinks, read the body language. Change the convo after a few drinks into the sex thing, like what she likes, dislikes, etc. Usually this gets them interested and I drop a few "I'd like to try (insert sexual deviant act girl said she was interested in here) but can never seem to find a partner." If she responds with the, I'm game look/act I'm in, if not, I pretend I gotta go take a leak and hit on the waitresses, they are so much easier.

Re: How to tell someone
I'm the kind to drop a few joking hints and see if she responds first. If so, I usually offer myself to her in a joking way as well. If this gets her interested, then I ask her if she wants to date.
On the 2nd part, I'm usually fine with it, and I get this 99% of the time anyway .

Re: How to tell someone
I am very shy. I have a hard time telling a girl that i am interested. I usually just jokingly drop some hints and see how she responds. as for the the second part, i usually end up pretty distant from the person if i am rejected

Re: How to tell someone
My problem isn't so much that I'm shy...well...I am to a degree until you get to know me...but anyway...it's more fear of rejection. I deal terribly with it...so...I just tend to keep what I feel to myself...and then as so many times before...I lose out on something grand. I have a great friend of mine that for some reason have always had this great interest for...failed to say anything...He tells me he's always felt more...so I tell him what I feel..blah blah blah...but he's with someone now...and I'm not one to come in between any type of relationship...but I want to know what it is and why I think about him everyday... it's amazing how sometimes you can just piss your own self off...I think I am destined to walk the world alone *sigh* Well...as long I'm still able to go on my splendid shopping sprees...I suppose I will survive *wink*

I was in that same situation with a girl, and i'm leaving in 6 hours now to go see her in Utah... still just friends but she's single now, i just wish i had made a move a long time ago instead of being shy.
