This is the text of a statement released on behalf of Kobe Bryant through his attorneys, Harold Haddon and Pamela Robillard Mackey, and his agent Rob Pelinka

"I am innocent of the charges filed today. I did not assault the woman who is accusing me.

"I made the mistake of adultery. I have to answer to my wife and my God for my actions that night and I pray that both will forgive me.

"Nothing that happened June 30th was against the will of the woman who now falsely accuses me.

"These false allegations have hurt my family. I will fight against these allegations with all my strength. My wife is the strongest person I know. She is willing to stand by me despite my mistake. That means everything to me.

"I have so much to live for. And by that I do not mean the contracts, or the money, or the fame. I mean my family. I will fight for them.

"I appreciate all those who have supported me. Thank you for believing in me. My family and I are going to need your support and prayers now more than ever."

I'm wondering whether other girls out there would forgive the guy and fix their relationship. They do have a small baby together. Kobe did say he has to stand up to his wife and god. Should he face Kate on this matter and give her a big rock too?
If I was Venessa, I woundn't allow Kobe to give Kate more than $4 million. Lower's her esteem, ya know. :rock:

Hey Yikes, notice the body language, not the threads.

Kate Faber was NEVER any competition for Kobe's real affection . Kate was just an overnight fling (Song- Poor Side of Town - Johnnie Rivers.)

My wife did. Maybe Vanessa is a catholic girl too. It's my opinion that catholic girls are really very strong willed and determined when it comes to keeping the family together.

Yeah I think she will stay for the time being. But I think their marriage is doomed because I think he will cheat again. He'll be a good boy this season, but after all the smoke clears......who knows.

Well, take the obcured release for what it's worth - this piece didn't make it to the major news much. Apparently, Venessa who has everything going for her had some difficult adjustments in standing by her man. She's not jumping off 10 story buildings like the NYU students.

Hey thanks Orange County dude, was it true that when Kobe dated her for lunch, the entire HS went into a frenzy? Or was this overblown by the media ? And does your buddy know about her not graduating with her class had anything to do with Kobe's dad not attending their wedding? Inquiring minds want to know.
