I was just getting out of bed and switch on the TV (UK here) and saw the hole, and watched from there. aweful stuff

i was in my math class at school, and one of the principals announced over the PA that the 1st tower had been hit, and told the teachers that they could turn on the tvs in class and let us watch it if they wanted to. so they turned on the tvs and everyone just watched in silence, then all day in every class all we did was watch the news. walking through the halls was so wierd because our school is soo over crowded, we have 2500 students in a high school that was built for probably about 1700 (which is a whole other issue), and the halls were soo quiet, nobody was yelling, or playing around like normal, everyone just walked quickly and quietly to their next class so they could watch the news. it seemed so surreal.(<sp?)

Just got home from work,took a shower and got on the PC to check my e-mail, had the TV on as well but only 1/2 paying attention to it, they broke in on a news brief but details were very sketchy, so i began to pay more attention and turned on CNN I saw the 2nd plane hit .Being in Pa. about 70 miles from where flight 93 crashed I remember thinking what the hell is going on and how many more would go down!

I was brushing my teeth getting ready for school when the news flash came on the tv. We watched tv the rest of the day at school.

I was on the way to a study hall when people started rushing to the TV's to see what was going on. The prick teachers made us go the rest of the day without any update. TVs remaind off until school let out.

At school, in art class - the Principal came on the intercom, letting us know "everything was ok" .. etc .. but not telling us what actually was going on.

somehow most of my school didn't even hear about it until around 11:50, the start of 5th period in my high school.

I was sitting through 1st and 3rd period like nothing was happening. But then walking through the halls everyone was just talking "a plane hit the world trade center!"
I remember nobody could get the facts straight about what kind of plane it was or anything, but our 5th period teacher turned on the TV and we just watched that for the rest of the day.
One guy in our class thought his parents may have been on one of the planes, as they were flying in that direction that day. He was a wreck (but luckily for him anyways his parents were ok)

Sleeping, got a call from family to turn on the tv. I don't think I left my bed the rest of the day.

I was at home getting ready for work when i heard about it. I flipped on Howard Stern(as i do every morning, f the fcc , and heard him talking about it. I turned on the TV as the second plane hit. I've never had such an empty feeling in my life, it was just horrible to watch.

One day the people responsible will face their god and have to answer for what they did. The sad thing is they were brainwashed into believing what they did was right.

At work (on campus Clemson in the Communications Center). Nothing like watching everything happen on 8 tvs tuned to different stations. Very surreal... very scary.

i walked into second hour biology probably 9:15 or so, and the teacher had the tv on. noone worked for the rest of the day. even the teachers just roamed the hall talking to one another. then (since i was stupid about cars then), i ran out of gas on the way home and had to wait in the parking lot of a gas station for an hour and a half while people panicked and bought more gas than they would need in a lifetime

Layin in bed, alarm goes off to what is normally a radio station, i didn't pay any attention to what they were sayin, but my gf did. She told me what she heard and we turned on the tv and watched in horror, thinkin the U.S. will never be the same.

I was in bed, and got a phone call from a friend telling me I should turn on the tv. The rest, is history.

I was asleep in a motel in Wichita, KS. A buddy of mine and I had spent the week in Lincoln, Nebraska, and had gone to the Nebraska vs. Notre Dame football game that weekend. We were on our way back home to Texas. My cell phone rang, and it was my buddy's fiance. She just told us to turn on CNN, and that terrorists had crashed airplanes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. We turned on the t.v. and just sat there stunned. We had to finally get cleaned up and check out of the motel and start home. We just listened to the radio all the way home, which was about 10 hours away. I remember how surreal it was not seeing a single airplane in the sky all that way. And every tall building we drove by caught my attention. I couldn't look away from them.
