It's the most wonderful time of the year...
COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS BACK!!!!!!!!1111ONE
In my opinion, it is 123,326,837 times better than the NFL. I'm just pissed I can't go to the CU vs. CSU game in Boulder this weekend, I'll have to get drunk and watch it at someone's apartment rather than get drunk and watch it at the stadium. Folsom Field looks amazing now.
Anyway, my school opens up play tonight in about 1 hr against TCU. Go U Northwestern. (not expecting to win tonight, but we only really do when we play Illinois). Hey, we made a bowl game last season, maybe this will make it two years in a row. You just wait, in the next 3 years, the crystal football trophy will be paraded through Evanston, Illinois. National championship for the Wildcats.
And if you believe that will happen, you're absolutely insane.

Re: It's the most wonderful time of the year...
WARNING: LARGE AMOUNTS OF PROFANITY FOLLOW
Brett Huffman needs to be fucking murdered!!!!! HOW THE HELL DO YOU MISS 5 OF 6 FIELD GOALS IN ONE GAME?! INCLUDING TWO IN OVERTIME THAT WOULD HAVE WON THE GAME, NOT INCLUDING THE THREE IN REGULATION THAT WOULD ALSO HAVE WON THE GAME!!!! NORTHWESTERN IS NOT A FUCKING FOOTBALL POWERHOUSE, WE HAVE TO TAKE THE WINS WHEN WE CAN GET THEM!!!!! WHEN YOUR QB STEPS UP AND HAS THE BEST GAME OF HIS CAREER THROWING FOR 500+YARDS AND FOR AS MANY TOUCHDOWNS AS HE DID ALL OF LAST SEASON, AND YOUR TEAM BLOCKS THE OTHER TEAM'S WINNING FG ATTEMPT IN OT, YOU HAVE TO FUCKING STEP UP AND DO YOUR GOD DAMNED PART!!!!!
Northwestern (0-1) thanks to Huffman.
I'm a little pissed off.
Sorry for going DJSAD on your asses with the caps lock, but
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

Tell the boys in Colorado to watch out for Mizzou this year. The Tigers are on the rise. It's fun watching a program rise from the ashes. Brad Smith is a man among boys.

Re: It's the most wonderful time of the year...
Unfortunately I'm from Kentucky, and live near Cincinnati. The only time I've seen big-time college football is when Florida or Tennessee come to Lexington for their bi-annual scrimmage games against UK

Judging by the way CU played this weekend, if Mizzou has a passing attack of ANY kind, they'll be in good shape, if they can shut down Purify's mad running skills.
Anyway, I'm just happy, no estatic, to see the Buffs pull out that win against CSU. They didn't deserve it in the end, Holland/Lubbick made a HUMONGOUS mistake in the end. A QB sneak or a spike would have won the game for the Rams, but they blew it.
My school has Arizona State and then Kansas. These should be the last two easy games of our season, except for Illinois/Indiana (if we play the Hoosiers), and if we don't win these two, any hopes for a bowl game go out the window.

I didn't think Mizzou posed any threat to my Huskers until yesterday. Losing to fucking Southern Miss? At HOME???!!! Now the whole damn schedule scares me. Pitt, next weekend, didn't scare me, now it does. K-State, Mizzou, Oklahoma & Colorado later? All of those teams are at least as good as Southern Miss, if not better. Could be a long year here in Lincoln...
