memory.dmp file?
Ive noticed ive got a file on my c:windows directory called MEMORY.DMP that I havnt noticed before. It is about a gig. Im guessing it was created after some crash. Does anyone know if this is safe to delete? I want my HD space back! Thanks.

Re: memory.dmp file?
yes you can delete it and it should be safe to do so
It's for admins and programs mostly to try and figure out what went wrong when a crashed happened

Re: memory.dmp file?
It means your system gave you a blue screen memory dump. If you know a program caused the problem, then you're ok. If it happens pretty regularly, you may want to check you CPU fan and case temp as well as your RAM as it could be a sign of worse to come.
