Half Life 2 Gone Gold
Half Life 2 will have gone gold on August 30th! It means that the game is ready for production. You can 'pre-load' the game right now off steam, which from my understanding is you download an encrypted version of the game and when it is released you can pay for it then play it, the minute it's out.

Most stores are reporting September 24th, but they really don't have a clue. The preload is ready, where you can download most of the game files, and when the game is ready to be sold you can purchase it and then you can download the rest. They are getting really really close to having this thing finished.

I'm just hoping I dont need to go get a new video car to handle the needs of the game. I've heard the counterstrike mod is the bomb, cs source. I haven't played it yet but have heard from numberous peps that it rocks.
