Tales of Symphonia
Is anyone else playing this game for the GameCube? I rented it and am liking it a lot, except I wish the plot was less linear. It's basically a cel shaded Final Fantasy game where the fight sequences are real time instead of turn based and you control one party member at a time instead of all during a fight. The graphics are cool, I like cel shaded games a lot for some reason. Dialogue is interresting and entertaining, but a little cheesy. It's on two discs, but I'm still on the first one. Because it's pretty linear, the replay value drops a lot but find a place to rent it for a week or two and it'll be worth it.

Re: Tales of Symphonia
I bought it, and have been playing it with my younger brother. We love the battle system, and I think the story is pretty cool. The dialogue is actually pretty good, though you said, a bit cheesy. It seems like a strange comment, but I actually like that the dungeons are so short. And of course it seems that it was conciously done so, but I appreciate it. Dunno why...
