Commitment
When is it time to make a commitment to your girlfriend/boyfriend? Is there a time frame? Rules that need to be followed? Signs that the other is ready? How and when do you propose that you be exclusive with one another? :wiggle:

It just always seems to come up naturally. There haven't been that many people in my life that I've had this situation with, for all my relationships end up being very long term, but it always seems that we both feel the same, and tend to make that commitment within ourselves even before it is discussed.
That being said, however, I am a true, true believer in knowing where I stand and letting others know where they stand, and would never assume or presume about that sort of thing. I'm really not shy about bringing things up in conversation, no matter how potentially awkward it could be. Communication is one of my top priorities.

Communication is key. I think you just kinda know when to do it though. I think two people should talk about the idea to make sure they're seeing eye to eye. It's a thing that shouldn't be rushed.

Very good question...When me and Darb first got together it was a mess. He drove me crazy. First he didn't tell me we were just "fucking", and then told me he loved me, then he tells me he isn't ready for a commitment. Talk about stunned. This went on for about 3 months. Well I told him bluntly I will not accept anything less and if he sticks his dick in someone else he won't stick it in me. Well when I started getting over the incredible heartbreak I started going out with other people and doing my own thing...then bam...he calls right out of the blue we hung out and on Christmas Night he tells me he is willing to risk his heart again and loves me. I have no idea what the hell was going on. I am rambling, sorry. I always assumed that if you said you were with someone you are with them, no discussion. I am naive I guess, when I sleep with someone I consider that the commitment.
