ok, true story, just happened.. no joke...

So today, around 6pm, we get home. My gf has this great plan to be spontaneous and wants to fuck like right now.. not 5 mins from now.. RIGHT NOW.

So anyhow, we start doing our thing. Eventually once its all over (the marathon ends..) I'm laying on my back.. soaked head to toe in complete sweat.. same for her. Well.. I get up to go to the bathroom.. and on my way there.. I get really dizzy. As pathetic as it seems.. I end up laying on the floor on my stomach trying to get my breath back and gain focus again. (I was seriously dizzy.. like.. couldn't walk straight.. felt like I was about to puke).

After drinking a shitload of water and taking a vitamin (:rofl, I feel a little bit better now. She thought the whole episode was funny.. and actually I do too. It was her idea for me to post this story on the board!!

Anyways.. her and I are trying to figure out why this happened. I'm guessing since all I had to eat today was a large Steak and Cheese sub with extra mayo and a Large chocolate shake could be part of the reason. Anyone else have any ideas?? I think I nearly died..

I'm sure it's kind of like when you stand up too fast and get a little dizzy. It was lack of blood to your brain. Also heard lack of iron or something in the blood does that too.

I think it's blood flow related too.... I have the exact same symptoms plus excruciating pain in the skull for a few minutes after sex every once in a while.

There are several reasons why you may have keeled over ranging from quite innocuous to potentially serious and you should see your medic as soon as -possible.
Obviously after intercourse which involves significant physical output of energy coupled with sympathetic and parasympathetic "storming" it is possible that all you've done is dropped vascular tone pooling blood to the outside of your body and stealing oxygen fron your central nervous system....ie....like a faint.....but equally you may have overexerted yourself on top of an underlying heart prob......you could have just hopped up too fast and have carotid sinus syncope due to the barorecptors in your arteries not kicking in fast enough to bring the heart rate up and supply oxygen in good time to your brain......or there are several neurological conditions which could behave like this, the most likely being micturition syncope where the blood pressure drops catastrophically when you empty your bladder while standing and you collapse....but you are in the wrong age group for that I think as it generally only hits old men.
Forget the food, unless you were so full of tucker the gut had first priority.
Nausea dizziness etc is normal in brain stem anoxia(loss of oxygen) because the loss of blood affects the back third of the brain more and the motor centres for arms and legs are supplied by the carotid arteries mainly.
Don't stuff around my friend...go see someone who can check you out properly.

Hijacker.... if you do take clamsrus advice, make sure you take your girlfriend along. You never know, the doctor may want you to try and reproduce the problem and you'll get to bone your gal in the doctors office.

Could be right Jace!!.....still wouldn't leave it to chance......(btw in moderate conditions it takes about 4 hours high energy output with ultrasports before electrolyte and carbo depletion and replacement becomes a real problem....check out the mens road cycle race!!) Must have been a hell of a session if that was the cause!!

To clmsrus - I appreciate the advice, and if it ever happens again, I will do that. I'll admit.. we were definately going at it pretty hardcore, but I'm more inclined to say it was from standing up to fast. Only thing is.. the dizziness lasted for about 15-20 mins.. and I have stood up to fast, and that dizziness only lasts a few seconds.

Regardless... I'll see what happens, and if it ever happens again, I will consult a physician. I'm only 24, so.. if something like this is happening, I'm concerned.
