watched some of the swimming events and preliminary gymnastics events so far. been some tight races in the pool. gymnastics looks like there might be some memorable moments in the medal rounds.

TV has spoiled another fantastic event. The Olympics now suck. Too much hype. To much garbage. Now, it's all show, all glitter. The games matter most, but the media and event organizers have opted for turning the Olympics into some big top circus show. Then they jack up the prices for everything from tickets to merchandise. I think the world is tired of all the hype. Let the competitors strive to be the best in the world. And let NBC step back a few thousand feet.

Hell yeah............ every night we play drinking olympics where we choose words and if they get said during broadcast then the person next to you drinks......... we change words every commercial............ Last nights mens 4 person relay was SICK........ such a close race..................

My roommate is obsessed with it, he'll watch any event no matter how boring. I hate it because we only have one TV with cable in the house and he's always watching the Olympics. I don't mind some of the events, but I can only stand so much of people swimming back and forth. Basketball I don't mind, but the international refs suck.
