That's if you live near the appalachian trail. Or one of the other big ones.

Heeheeehee! I don't! But thank you for a hitchhiker's viewpoint. And I don't have a truck. Or else I most likely would pick up hitchhikers. I'm just concerned with them being in the car with me.

Re: Picking up hitchhikers...Yes or No?
I have picked a few up, and there have been good and bad situations. I would depending on the situation, or whatever. My father's best friend, when he was younger, was hitchiking, and a guy picked him up and killed him, then put him in his car and wrecked it, trying to get insurance money, so it's not only the hitchikers who can be evil! I picked a guy up once with a female friend of mine, and he ended up being drunk, and asking us to drive him all over the city. He kept trying to touch her, so we dropped him off wheever we were.

Re: Picking up hitchhikers...Yes or No?
I saw an old man walking down the street carrying his home with him, and I felt bad for not pulling over, but he WAS on the beach, so that's probably where he intended on staying.

Re: Picking up hitchhikers...Yes or No?
Well, if they're homesless people or something. That one drunk guy smelled, like alcohol. We should have known not to pick him up, but I guess we weren't thinking about the smell at the time.

Re: Picking up hitchhikers...Yes or No?
An older guy I used to work with at a crap job hitchhiked back and forth from school and it was like an 8 hour drive. He told me stories how some guy picked him up and started grabbing his balls... he let the guy do it for like 15 seconds because he needed a ride and said thats enough and the guy drove him all the way home without saying a word

Re: Picking up hitchhikers...Yes or No?
Alright, so that leads to the next question...would you hitchhike??
I have had a car break down and accepted a ride, but I was very particular about who I said yes to. I turned down a few first before I found one I felt comfortable with. I wouldn't hitchhike as a way to get around...I'd take a bus if I had to.

Re: Picking up hitchhikers...Yes or No?
I'd probably pick them up if I didn't have social anxiety. That just sometimes puts a damper on conversations with new people.
