Re: the village
I've never understood what some people see in M. Night Shamyalamadingdong's movies.
By and large, he's a pretty crappy writer, and when your scripting style is as minimalist as his is, you've really gotta juice all you can out of every line, which he doesn't.
That, and every one of his movies is similarly predictable in one point: that it will end with something unpredictable.
Knowing there'll be a twist, and knowing, like clockwork, that it will happen, really kind of ruins the point of the surprise.
I dunno. M. Night Shamandcheesesandwich just isn't my cup of tea, I guess.

Re: the village
i liked it alot, if you like movies with a twist you will like it. i liked signs too, and all his other movies... sixth sense was great, and unbreakable. its cool how he always plays some little part in each of his movies

Re: the village
I really liked the movie but i can see that youd either love it or hate it. No middle ground.

Re: the village
The plot was done previously on an episode of the outer limits with a slight variation. The things in the woods were somthing else. Pretty disapointing that he had to resort to ripping off the outer limits for a movie plot.

Re: the village
i heard from a friend that the village was pretty good...
although in the newspapers it said it wasnt...
but considering it's rated like pg-13 or something i wouldnt think it would be extremely scary

Re: the village
The village was awesome with an awesome twist. i didn't expect it at all. i was a little dissapointed that the monsters weren't real though. that would have been even more awesome.

Re: the village
I thought it was ok, somewhat lack luster and the "surpirse ending" wasn't all that big of a surpirse.

Re: the village
I liked it, but i was the only one in my group of friends to. If you dont go in there expecting a surprise/horror movie i think you will enjoy.
