Not since Tinker to Evers to Chance. And not this year. The Cardinals will win 104 games and win the Series! Starting pitching is solid. Relief is stellar. And there's no better heart of the order than Renteria, Pujols, Rolen, Edmonds. This could be the best Cardinal team in many, many years. Maybe better than '82. Maybe as good as '67. Only time will tell. But Cubs World Champions. Not this year.

I'll give it to you, that the Cards are the best team in baseball this year, and other than the Cubs they're my prediction. Theres just something about the Nomar acquisition that recharged the team, and the pitching staff hasn't even gotten hot yet. Patterson and Lee are just starting to find their game, and A-Ram is having a big year. It's gonna be interesting to see how the NL plays out from now until October.
