Spider-Man 2 any good?
Haven't had a chance to check out Spider-Man 2 yet, but I really liked the movie. Anyone recommend this game?
I hear some mixed reviews about it....

Re: Spider-Man 2 any good?
I thought it was pretty fun for a while but as usual theres no replay value to these type of games, but I think that it would prove to be a nice rental if you got a GamePass from Blockbuster.

Or if you have your xbox modded, its pretty good, way better than the 1st one. Atleast a rental title.

Re: Spider-Man 2 any good?
It's really repetative. If you aren't doing the story missions you are either stopping people robbing armored cars, people hijacking cars, purse snatchers, catching balloons, people ganging up on you, people falling from buildings, and shootouts. Sounds like a list, but those are the only missions outside of the story mode and it gets old fast. But the web slinging is fun for a while.

Hmm... I was looking at buying this but I think I'll try a rental and see for myself.

Re: Spider-Man 2 any good?
I'd say this game has about as much replay value as Vice City, though Spiderman 2's challenges and side missions (daily planet, and mary jane missions) are a lot harder.

Pretty impressed with this game. Shame you can't take off Spidey's costume when you wanted to so that you can roam around with the rest of the people though.

I liked the first one, it was a lot of fun. I'll have to check out this one too. The commercials say it offers more freedom than the first

Re: Spider-Man 2 any good?
It's kinda like GTA but with spiderman, you can go all over new york, its pretty cool.

it's a very cool game, but it can get boring pretty quick. the little missions are very repetitive, as there are only 5 or 6 of them. i love to just swing through the city.

Re: Spider-Man 2 any good?
The swinging mechanics of this game are pretty impressive. Unlike the first installment, you actually have to attach the web to something solid (rather than just in mid-air) which make it a little more difficult but adds a lot of realism.
Unfortunately, this analogy with GTA Vice City is a bit misguided as there are not as much freedom allowed in Spiderman 2.

the GFX sucks, but gameplay is good

Re: Spider-Man 2 any good?
Its alot of fun....if you blow right throw the main storyline you can be done in like 4-5 hours, but you can also spend hours just swinging around the city.
