What were the Dodgers thinking?

Why in the heck did the Dodgers break up the heart of their team. I think they are really losing a lot in Lo Duca and Mota. Seems like they didn't like the idea of team unity and winning.

Beltran has only played for KC and Houston. And thank the baseball gods that he plays in houston now... hit two dingers last night in the 12 - 3 trouncing of the braves... bwah hah hah! GO ASTROS! Clemens and Oswalt scare me. But this is Cardinals team is the best all-around team I've seen since 1975. And I just might match these guys up against '75 Reds. Although Rose, Griffey, Morgan, Perez, Foster, Bench, Concepcion, Geronimo is a tough eight to beat--Womack, Walker, Pujols, Rolen, Edmonds, Renteria, Sanders, Matheny holds up pretty well.
