Tyson fought here last nite and in the fourth round he got demolished. I for one have to say I am happy...his unsportsmanlike conduct in the past made him a joke in my eyes...he was no longer an athlete...he was a street brawler, just like any other thug on the street...I know I will catch a WHOLE lot of flack for this but if you are a sports icon you should hold yourself up above a certain level...and he didn't. Don't bash me too hard guys.

I know he was contracted to do three or four K1 fights. I'd love to see that. The average K1 fighter CRUSHES Tyson.

this guy wasn't like holyfield...he was just the british champ...tyson had to go get stitches...no pics...I didn't go...would not pay the money for him...cheap seats were about 150 or so...he got beat by a fighter with 9-1 odds...what does that tell you

They are spinning it now, saying he lost because he torn up his knee and as a result he couldn't move, or throw rights. He got knocked the fuck out because he is 38 years old and no good!! hahahaha

in all fairness, he was a thug on the street long before he was ever any sort of a sports icon. now he was definitely insane, i dont think anyone can argue intelligently against that. but i think now with the whole bankruptcy issue he knew that he needed to fight, and to be able to fight, he had to be on good behavior.

and the promoter of the fights has cancelled the remaining four, saying that tyson cant go in the ring against legitimate heavyweights.

I hope Tyson's knee caused him to lose that, cause seriously, Williams is a no-hoper. Now Williams will get his big pay day against Klitschko and get knocked out himself inside 3 or 4 rounds.

Iron Mike had more potential at an earlier age than anyone in boxing history. He also entered the ring at its weakest moment of the 20th century. When Tyson came into his own, there were no worthwhile adversaries. I don't discredit what Tyson did. No one can take away his early success. He was the most devastating puncher I've ever seen. However, he was never an accomplished boxer. And he never faced the level of competition necessary to hone his craft. Then, between Robin Givens and Don King, Mike's personal life destroyed him. And as his personal life declined, so did his skills.

It's truly a sad story. Tyson could have and should have been the first undefeated champion since Marciano. But poor judgement and foolishness left him as little more than a shadow of his former self, fighting in "B" venues (sorry Louisville, but you're hardly a sport mecca) trying to figure out how to get out of $43 million in debt.

Mike Tyson = American Tragedy. A mega-star transformed into a monster before our eyes. Once a spokesman for Pepsi, now he won't even be a footnote in People Magazine (which I hold as quite possibly the lowest tier of journalism, along with the National Enquirer and The Star).

Don't punch Iron Mike when he's down. Pity what he's become. And pity what we all missed, had he made better choices.
